I remember when the promise of technology was convenience.....somehow we used to believe we would get 'all and then some' in a convenient package......

Let's recap.... convenience.

Used to count elections by hand....took a day...

Now we count electronically.....takes a week....

Used to get the news from the paper....local editors were putting their reputation on the line and the paper cost 0.50-1. (usually read them for free in the diners)

Now....subscribe for 10/month....to get respun 'articles' reposted to thirty places.....or get ads....

Rent a movie and support a local business and maybe get a chance to run into someone and discuss the local reviews etc....

Now...pay a select few corps a 15/month for the privelege of having movies disappear from the shelves....and not have anyone to talk to....

Fuck this.....this is not convenience....not even in the eyes of blind.....
