Maybe this fits here. So many of the elite families are invested in oil which produces everything, and they are invested in everything. Are they finally saying we have enough money to crash everything so lets stop using it, transition, let everyone die and anyone left wont remember that we got off oil only to get back on it after depopulation. Or is there some kind of elite infighting?
