How do you know?
Is the sun then suddenly traveling away from the viewer super fast once it is just over the horizon? Until then you can see it perfectly fine and a few minutes later it is completely gone. How does that work?
This makes absolutely no sense at all.
Why does the sun reappear in the East after setting in the West? it must be moving around my position at 12000+ miles distance during the night.
Please provide a map.
Are stars closer to earth than the sun then? Otherwise how can I see stars at night while I cannot see the sun?
So if the sun disappears because light cannot penetrate air beyond 12000 miles, how can I see stars which are further away according to this map?
Disregarding that there is literally no evidence in the world that shows how the light gets blocked by air beyond 12000 miles.
