I prefer the Sikh religion over Christianity because there is nothing in the Bible about dealing with Oppressive tyrants which explains why Christian cultures get infiltrated so easily by criminals (who should be dealt with at a kinetic level)
The only source of Christian authority is the Bible? Where's that in the Bible?
Anyway, you're wrong on the topic, if you look at what happened to Saul and the rebellion led against him by the future king David. Also, the Kingdom of Israel, once united under Solomon, due to unjust rulership and king Solomon's importation of foreign women and their false gods, was divided as the northern tribes broke away. A prophet told him this would happen, and why. In short, the Bible has a blueprint for rebellion against unjust rule and false gods, which is where we are today. We can talk about the New Testament on this topic, if you are actually curious and don't reply with the standard NPC replies.
Holiest reply .. (Full of holes) Saul rebellion against false GODS. You had to dig for that one... Why don't you go preach that to your fellow Christians then? I don;t need to be preached to. I'm watching you people and how you react to tyrants. .. When/if the majority of Christians rise up (they won't because they are too infiltrated ) I will rise up with them. Until then I will complain about Christians doing nothing like they always do and compliment Sikhism
Had to dig for that one? feh Weak sauce reply because you're Biblically ignorant, and the Bible is not the sole source of Christian authority, btw.
Another one is when the Hebrews, at the time being ruled by judges, begged for a king like foreign nations. God sends a prophet, Samuel, to tell them "you don't really want that, they will be a tyrannical soon enough" and they say "yes we do" and then when they get a king, it works out exactly as the prophet told them it would.
The New Testament does teach respect for legitimate authority and just laws via the writings of Paul, but simultaneously rebellion against unjust government actions. In Acts of the Apostles, the Apostles are taken by soldiers to the Jew government authorities for preaching the Gospel and told to stop. They say they have to obey God and not men. They take beatings and imprisonments and continue preaching. Martyrdoms occurs again and again because they keep breaking the unjust law but they end up converting the whole Roman Empire this way.
You want some pagan epic slaughter, well, that does happen, but that's when the Hebrews are told to genocide the people that practice child sacrifice as punishment for that evil.
