Glass is kinda weird being as it's a solid AND a liquid technically. It wouldn't surprise me if.glass had some.supernatural qualities, comes from fire, the way it shatters, etc.
What's up with tesseracts? Aren't they glass or are they crystal?
Ah, the tesseract. It's a fourth dimensional cube thingie, so actually it's an abstract shape. Strictly speaking, as they taught us in kindergarten, it's a convex regular 4-polytope but who's counting.
Actually, glass is very neat stuff (as is water) and one could make an entire career studying it.

glass also does fun things to light, so perhaps there's a quality that allows it to interact with vibrations other than or adjacent to ours.
