Revelation 13

13 And hee doeth great wonders, so that hee maketh fire come downe from heauen on the earth in the sight of men,

Here is your meteorites. Distinct from a wandering star.

Edit. I even found a reference to comets in the Bible:

Acts 2

19 And I wil shew wonders in heauen aboue, and signes in the earth beneath: blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke.

So claiming that a comet is a star, just seems odd to me. A comet is way to big to be considered a star. Also wandering means to travel, which is what the light you see, that look exactly like a star, does.
