All a foreign intelligence operative has to do to cover up their murders is smear some pentagrams and shit on the wall. Regular beat cops show up and say to themselves "of course, satanism! That's the only motive we need" and nobody asks any further questions.
The Manson/tate murders (Manson was a patsy) are undoubtedly such a case. They had sex party's with other Hollywood types. There's a connection to "the finders cult" which I forgot exactly how and don't have links. Roman Polanski is suspect AF.

That's the old style of CIA/mossad/whatever killers. Today they find kids whacked out on pills to be as high profile as possible. There was an "era" of serial killers that we just don't see anymore.
Let's say there's a Vietnam vet that did psychological warfare on VC for example skinning them and hanging them in the forest like a predator movie. It would devastate the morale of the Superstitious VC who believe in ghosts and boogeymen. But do you think that person could just turn off what they've been trained to do? I think a large percentage of serial killers are people like this because we don't see this anymore.
