interesting problem for those that use Google maps - don't really know if the route they pic for you is the "best for you" or "what they say is best".

for instance... on my 30 mile commute going east/west, there's a north route and a south route around a large airport. both routes are similar in time for me. I cannot know traffic ahead in the route very well, certainly not in real time. Can I trust google to pick a route? what about if they recommend the tollway? is the toll way management company giving google a kickback?

if they aren't yet, why not?
