Why do they use symbols and ideas from ancient Egypt? Obelisks, Isis, Horus, etc?
Is this an unbroken lineage/ideology that has lasted since those times?

That's a biblical label. Generic and vague. At best. Affixing a word to the unexplainable and indescribable.
Whereas, E.T.'s are written about in real terms in many ancient civilizations.
