IDK, Bezos has a long history of reinvesting as much profit as he can to minimize taxes. So he planned to build a LOT of warehouses with his pandemic profits and now is only building some of them because sales have contracted as we go into a recession. This is just a normal business move, a recession is not a normal time for a biz like that to be expanding considering that current demand is being met.
