I agree. If nothing else, positive emotions create health in the body which is increasingly necessary in a world where modern healthcare has become an enemy.

To oversimplify my own theory:

1. someone put a lot of effort into this world
2. we are amusing
3. we stop being amusing living as cattle in a technocratic hellhole

Faith is what pushes us forward in times of darkness. That is the central theme of numerous stories.
