Well that's a lie. Because we go to them regularly...no one's giving out kratom. In fact, we've told everyone not to fuck with it. Yet everyone's gotta fuck shit up on their own.
AA Is a great tool on its own. It has been becoming a bit woke though. But the original message and book are still extremely useful. It seems to be the only real thing that works. Because it doesn't just get you sober. It teaches these degenerates how to be good people and not be a fuck.
My mom was also an alcoholic, but didn't ever actually do the AA thing. We went to the meetings (which we're not the same as they are today) there's a big community of young people near us. Which is shocking, but good for those who don't want to stay fucked up until they're 50. Meetings are huge...not even a seat to be found. You'd be surprised. It also gives them a sense of community. People in AA have been some of the kindest, most helpful people I've known. But you'd have to actually know good people in AA.
