Hero is the most over/misused word to credit agents of the state for absolutely nothing. They’re mostly inferior people who believe in their own necessity and who feel like they’ve accomplished something by getting a job as paid thug. It made the normies feel like they are saving the children. So they voted for the politicians that made those laws and rejected the leaders that objected on the grounds of personal freedom. The logic is on the part of those in charge who seek to expand government control. If expansion is your ultimate goal this was a logical law.
