Workplaces over the years have adopted more and more Behavioural Science which is interwoven with D&I initiatives. I have found that workplaces have become more and more overt in telling you how to behave and in trying to control ‘behaviours’ ie how your think, feel and act. It’s too intrusive. It crosses a line into almost slavery to a corporation.
Has anyone else noticed? Is there anyone who ever speaks about this? Does anyone have any resources on it?
The pervasiveness of work outside of the workplace is quite challenging to combat. It's like the prison dilemma in game theory. One coworker will always give in and work until midnight or on the weekend. Then it becomes an expectation.
