Yet private Christian schools repeatedly test better, and use trivium curriculums.

They also teach kids that the earth is 6,000 years old and god buried fossils in the earth to test man's faith.

That's an extremist view.

Christianity is an extremist view to somebody who grew up without exposure to or knowledge of its existence. We're just used to it so it's "normal."

I forget what comedian said it but it was basically we look at scientology and mormanism as being out there/straight up cults but that's only because we know the people who started them. From 10,000 feet with no prior knowledge about organized religions, they're all insane.

We're conditioned from birth to believe this shit too. Tooth fairy, Easter bunny, Santa, jesus.... they're all "always watching."

I understand a couple thousand years ago the heathens that populated the planet needed a sort of moral framework. People who make up a "polite society" shouldn't need a carrot dangled in front of their face in order to be a kind person to others. Yet here we are. And Kenneth Copeland is a fucking billionaire.

If you've ever had the displeasure of being hoodwinked into attending a MLM pump up/recruitment meeting at a hotel ballroom, you'll know that they share the exact same energy as the vast majority of American "christians." Because it's largely the same crowd.

Desperate and intellectually disadvantaged. Praise the lord and pass the collection plate. Pastor needs a new G5.

Lol that was both entertaining and accurate.

This community is heavily moderated by people who ban that kind of discussion and it's very telling. So see you next username, compadre.

Yes, that's basically how it works.

And it's always been that way. When people get smart and have access to information, they figure out that organized religion is a load of horseshit.

Yeah. You do realize that thinking organized religion is complete bullshit ≠ atheism, right?
