That's because "long covid" was originally just the result of atrophy from lockdowns aka not leaving your house for 6 months and eating nothing but UberEats.

There's nothing about the vaccine in this study this the title is misleading. Many, including me, believe the vaccines cause long term damage. This article however is essentially trying to prove that all these long term effects are root cause of Covid and not the vac. I say trying since it's essentially correlative and they did not control for vaccine thus it is also not useful as a means to contradict our point of view.
I'm not sharing the "article" (note I always included study links when they're actually good). I'm sharing @conceptualjames comment ABOUT the article calling out long covid as a hoax. note twitter put a warning on it since I shared this yesterday. I appreciate your vigilance here, but you missed the point of this thread I think.

Corona viruses have been around a long time. The common cold is a corona virus. Was long covid a thing before 19?

Any mention of 'long covid' that doesn't mention 'chronic cough' and 'post respiratory infection fatigue syndrome' (under its various names) is utter bullshit. It can happen with every viral infection like that. RSV, rhinovirus, influenza and yes, coronoviruses.
Except those who got it despite not getting the VAX.
Flu doesn't last 5 months. Person was fucked up from it for months. I had to deal w/ the person everyday.
