Anyone ever heard of the Marfa lights in Texas? They look like balls of light that can be mistaken for car lights if you don't pay attention, and they can appear in different hues. They are hovering relatively low above the ground. I've seen them half a dozen times but never noticed an earthquake. The visual description reminded me of them...
