I think it’s the same as what happened with Japan. It was a backwater until the west gave them guns and it’s sick culture and they went buck wild on imperialism

Same with China. They got their guns and tech and this country of traditionally farmers has gone crazy with their new toys. China has not yet become a civilized nation.

Imagine what would happen if we explored the stars and just gave some primitive alien race a bunch of gizmos and left them to their own devices?
