Estimating crowd size can be hard, I've heard that trucks are lined up for 50 miles, and that all the bridges surrounding Ottawa have checkpoints in an attempt to keep people out. My guess is between 500k and 1m people.
You heard? See what I mean? Most I've seen is compilations using the same footage, some short videos showing a handful of trucks, or at most a very short drone footage clip showing a couple of miles at most.
There's no way to tell AFAIK.
If you are saying 500k trucks that is ridiculous. I don't believe it for one bit. 500k normal ppl is another different thing and not hard to accomplish in a big city with some ppl coming from nearby cities.
Yeah, I meant people. There's probably 20k (50 m * 5280 ft/m * 4 lanes / 50 ft/truck) trucks just on the one 50 mile highway though, and there's something like 7 major roads into Ottawa, so that's already 140K trucks potentially.
