Japan definitely needs to be careful with population growth, but I doubt the situation is as dire as we're led to believe. In another generation Japan will probably be the last place where people are still smart enough to understand and repair modern technology. Intelligence isn't just being incidentally bred out of the West, it's actively persecuted via diversity & inclusion nonsense.

This is awesome for Japan. They will have to build robots faster, and educate flesh and blood people to fill the roles of their aging people.
