I've heard the IMF compells countries to borrow money, then with globalist support, crashes the economy, then asks for it's money back, then loots the country. If you look at Greece, there was all sorts of monkey business going on. Bankers are criminal. They made Greek people really suffer through austerity measures. If I remember correctly a couple of key banks were emptied of money just before the IMF came back to loot pensioners and average Greeks of their hard earned money and ruin the economy.
