So what will keep the value when the panic and run on banks starts causing hyperinflation and chaos?

Bitcoin - very risky. Not for me. I don't trust it.

Silver? Gold? Can be hard to sell when you need the cash.

Cash? Hyperinflation can reduce the value to almost 0.

Food can perish.

Nails, screws, tools? You don't want to buy tons of heavy equipment and keep it in the flat.
