You can keep flying in any direction and eventually come back to the same point. How does that happen on a plane?
Flat earth is the globe cut in half with the atmosphere as the "dome". From a top down view a plane would still be able to fly "around".

You'd hit south America, down to Argentina then the edge of "Antarctica" just like you normally would. You're allowed to go on the outer edge of Antarctica but never across.
