Very interesting. It reminds me of how "constants" like the speed of light and the influence of gravity actually fluctuate, for unknown reasons, and this bothered the scientific community so much that they decided to ignore it completely and declare official, nonfluctuating constants for both. They really solved that little problem! One wonders if something similar is going on here.
