This is intriguing considering the history of the US from it's founding, and direct Masonic involvement.h
Would you possibly suggest any other solid resources (sites, books, etc) that help explain the symbolism, and so forth?
I would think there's an energetic component to it, as well within these lodges, that the members themselves might not be aware of.
All my knowledge on symbolism came from my own research.
Morals and Dogma is probably the best first book on Freemasonry but make sure its not a short book, some people just sell the first 3 degrees of it. He's an ex-Freemason and wrote the learnings from the first 32 degrees.
All the 33 degrees is "Uhh actually the God you've been worshipping this whole time is the Demiurge/Satan/Molech/Lucifer" and the snake in the garden is totally the good guy he gave us knowledge. Which should have been pretty obvious with all their light in the darkness/illumination bullshit.
Btw, you might already know this is just '13' blocks away from the White House, in DC.

Definitely makes sense,
There used to be a ton of Masonic literary content on 'the-eye.eu' repository; yet it appears that's been shut down for the time being.
The archive.org is still going; yet I wonder for how long.
