My thinking is something along the lines of intentional manifestation. When physically performing the act, consciousness is focused in a gracious, thankful, humble pattern. It's an opportunity to slow the mind, quiet the chatter, silence the constant voice and connect directly to God. My favorite thought to focus on is to concentrate as hard as I can on that connection (I had the tryptamine experiences so it's very visceral) and consciously strengthen that binding between us. Obviously it's a great mystery what all this is exactly, I'm sure there's terminology for this act, I'm just unaware. Anyway, getting to the point, why do this intermittently? Why not make your base conscious pattern one of permanent prayer? To me, it's an exercise in mental control, discipline, clarity of thought, intensity of intention...what do I want? I really want to mold my external world into a more constructive and positive experience. I will pray that into manifestation. :)
I welcome any and all reference to scripture which may assist. I have an app, the Blue Letter Bible on my phone, which has helped me immensely. It has all the translations, I can highlight and bookmark passages, I've been using it mostly to investigate the pharisees issue but I know there is A LOT to investigate. I've been so thankful for my sunday schooling...I never liked congregation all that much, but my church upbringing is serving me so absolutely well at this time of struggle. I paid attention!
Concordance! That's what I'm learning now. Thanks, yeah I'm new to sincere biblical study, I have read portions, passages, sections, my whole life, I tried to read the whole thing cover to cover in I think around third grade but I've never done that properly. I'm usually reading 5-10 books at a time, I'm buried in the other ancient works, the Vedas and some of the weird ones like Oahspe, Edgar Cayce's works.......I understand this may cause discomfort to you...I apologize; I am reading EVERYTHING, mostly have it finished, like I said I had a sincere and authentic divine experience and basically, I want to understand it. I know some Christians would oppose this additional alternative exploration, so I do apologize but I don't want to mislead you in my intentions.
https://www.brianmuraresku.com/the-immortality-key This is a new work that shed a lot of light on the Mysteries at Eleusis and whatever they were doing and how that transferred to the early Christians, these guys were doing something more proactive in the psychedelic sense which I would like to re-define and apply now and here.
