Did you know France employed forced labor of German prisoners too?
Sure and so did the British and literally every other state victorious in battle and who kept prisoners of war. Scotland had Italian prisoners build submarine barricades in the North Sea. Eventually that forced labor returned to Scotland because it didn’t suck like late 1940’s Italy did.
And slavery as reported by Allied soldiers like great uncles I have known and grandparents I’ve spoken to. As far as camps go, no one, including modern day Nazi edge lords, disagrees they were at-minimum forced labor camps. No one denies countless lives were lost due to malnutrician and disease. Whether or not mass murder was commited is for a totally different discussion, but whether or not crimes against humanity were commited isn’t in question by anyone other than the retarded.
Sure, its the idea that the Nazis crimes were somehow exceptional that I can’t buy into anymore.
The Soviets (that we sent lend-lease to and allied with) were doing similar “crimes” decades before the Nazis did.
Basically, I don’t give a fuck how many Jews died, it doesn’t change my opinion on Jews in the current day. Just like Japanese warcrimes in China doesn’t stop me criticizing China.
The Nazi crimes, Soviet crimes, Jewish crines, and Chinese crimes are all crines against humanity. They are crimes against our inalienable right to exist, and all of these crimes should be punished.
The simple fact that there were Jews who were actually good and righteous people, regardless of their beliefs, died to further some infantile political belief structure should be an outrage to anyone that believes in freedoom, liberty, and the rights of man. Just like I din’t give a fuck what belief structure the average Uyghur has, all I care about is that some honest dude is having his wife fucked by a stranger because the CCP doesn’t think he should be a muslim.
