The use fake news to reveal them when enough people believe the hype. It could be one of those just to show that even supposed whistleblowers can fake their information. Also, the razors don't even make sense - this is a physical thing that pokes through soft tissue. Actually, people can swallow glass and it can pass through their organs without a single scratch due to the organ liquid (I forgot the term..) and I guess most biologists know that already.
