not that i buy this, but something to consider is that USSR and Russia afterwards are one of the only countries who still vaccinated against small pox almost up the late nineties.

Russia has the highest HIV/AIDS rate outside of Africa

so that is interesting

prostitute and heroin epidemic which was at its peak in the 90s.

there were also a few incidents of contaminated blood being used in transfusions as quality control really shit the bed after the collpase.

like i said im not sure im buying the connection smallpox to AIDS connection, but it is interesting.
