(this is why there exist books in 1891 about Baron trumps)
The logical problem with this claim is that it works far better the other way. The book about Baron Trump existed, and the Trump family 100 years later was aware of it. "Hey, let's name him Baron, like in the book..."
Doesn't matter if the Trump family didn't exist back then. Drumpfs later changed their name to the same one in the book, that they didn't even know existed.
Wealthy Donald employs thousands of people, one of whom undoubtedly researched or stumbled across the book, and brought it to Donalds attention. Whether because of the book, or for other reasons, Baron Trump was the name they selected for the male child. Kind of fits with his taste for gold fixtures and such.
It's pretty common for people to hear about things that happened in the past (unlike the reverse) and emulate or honor those in some way. When I begin a letter with "Greetings", it's not the case that the Department of Defense began copying me after I time traveled back to the 60s. It's because that innocuous opener was the prelude to informing someone they were selected to go to Vietnam and fight in the war. I learned about it after they were already doing it.
