It sounds like a gag, but there was one rabbi who taught at the law school I attended, and in his free time he would stand outside the main law building and mooch for cigarettes. Never bought any or gave anybody any, just mooched them.
I gave him one the first time I saw him, and then after that, I was like "fuck this guy".
His teaching salary alone was probably 5-10X my income that year.
There was a cadre of students that hung around him too, and all of them rubbed me the wrong way.
Even the best professor I had there, also Jewish, turned out to be a HUGE shill. LIke unbelievable man. I was pretty disappointed.
I thoroughly encourage them to have books on racism through the eyes of the Talmud, for kids.
We need more diversity on our shelves, not less.
