The bigger the company, the more integrated they are with the gov't. The less they have a choice when big gov't says to do something.
Big companies get a lot more gov't funds than you realize. If they don't go along with what the gov't says then they are at risk to not receive those funds anymore.
In the end, its all about money. And the gov't doles out money to these corporations programs and research etc..in exchange for power over them.
