Well if you've ever read Douglas Adams, he 100% believed in a deep state.
If you read the hitchhikers guide series, he has a very sardonic sense of humor about the nature of power structures. He definitely doesn't support any of it, but pokes fun at the absurdity of it all.

You just sent the past 11 months telling everyone the election was rigged and there was nothing Trump could do to win.
If that's true why the fuck would his "bid" matter..
He's gonna crash and burn.
