Seriously, what if the singularity came and these are the opening moves of our new overlord? What kind of high tech nanites would be possible mere moments after the singularity?

I would trust Skynet a lot more than I trust the CDC, WHO, and FDA.
Nanotech is primitive right now, but AI can change the rate of technological progress at a ridiculous rate. It is estimated that within the next 30 years, there will manifest a recursively self-improving artificial intelligence. We may have already achieved this. If this is the case, then a vax that sends nanobots that take over your mind is not pure sci-fi.
