interesting thought. but i think there is a mass shortage because it was a combination of a lot of things. people saw all the "bullshit" jobs, along with people rebelling against vaccine mandates, along with lots of people still getting checks, along with a lot of people just leaving the workforce because they are stressed and most of the time it's not worth it to be treated like trash , be overworked and underpaid.

plus, a lot of em probably said "fuck it, i quit" because they see how shit the world is becoming and they want to live out the last few years of freedom we all have left.
