In regards to the disastrous pullout of Afghanistan by the Biden administration and the subsequent takeover by the Taliban, I suspect the reason Trump refused to pull troops out of that shithole was because, among plenty of other things, he knew this shit would happen if the government there wasn't fixed.
Unfortunately, the Biden administration royally screwed it up in a completely unexpected manner by abandoning tons of now stolen weapons and military equipment, and even live animals that are starving to death in cages, and now a shitton of people are going to die because of them.
Taking back that shithole is going to be significantly harder now as the Taliban likely have better anti-air capabilites, and I would not be supprised of they sell the excess gear to allies like Al-Qaeda.
