My response would be....

Seems my child has more sense than the adults around here.

Then ask the Administration head nurse to come up a with live sample of SARS-cov-2. Anyone that is sick with the the diagnosis of "COVID +" has to have SARS-cov-2 sitting in them in order to develop "COVID". So a sample should be easily retrievable from the back of the throat.
