This post shows ignorance of computer systems and it needs refutation.
Cyber attacking a plane's avionics does not require an Internet cable nor connection to the Internet. It could be done easily by a service technician accidentally contaminating the systems with a virus on a USB flash drive or even some service download. May I remind you all that Stuxnet destroyed Iranian uranium separation turbines by means of a virus introduced into their system by USB drives planted by Israel.
Modern avionics has many entry places for potential contamination because it is heavily computerized and all the computers in a fly by wire aircraft are connected.
The protection program is valid and justifiable and shouldn't be attacked by ignorant rednecks who spam .win daily.
You have flawed models of this and I object to your pushing them on people. You know the words but not the concepts. And you have an ego problem but that's pretty obvious from all the posts you do to get attention.
As for <how you would "hack" would be to corrupt the data being sent to the aircraft WIRELESSLY --> but this requires then sabotaging a vast system of coms easily bypassed by physical communication and input correction.>
No, it is clear you know nothing of how the Chinese have sabotaged semiconductor production to insert hidden functionality in chips we use in aircraft systems. Such manufacturing hacks can be used to infiltrate systems. This is why Intel has funding to bring chip manufacturing back to the US to harden US military electronics against such intrusion. I worked on special equipment used by the government to physically analyze chips for this kind of attack. So yes, I know more than a redneck about it.
And yeah, your post does show ignorance, Mr. Ayh. The abbreviation ayh stands for 'are you horny' in common usage so WTF do you use it.
I am so tired of wading past your daily spam here and because of that have no respect for you. Normally I'd just keep quiet but this particular post set me off with its total ignorance.
Planes flew before the internet, go figure.
insert meme good idea guy thrown out the window
