If there is part of the Bible you reject, you are going to find yourself in trouble when facing God on judgement day, as not believing in the word is considered a act of rebellion against God. You can not pick and choose what part of the Bible you belive in. God describe earth as a footestoole. There is no private interpretations of prophecy in the Bible, everything needs to be proven by the holy Spirit.
Acts 7:49
Heauen is my throne, and earth is my footestoole: What house will ye build me, saith the Lord? Or what is the place of my rest?
The gospel is the good news, that God is not angry at us anymore, that God has forgiven our sin. Before you are given the holy Spirit, God will test your faith though, to see that you actually believe in the word of God, or if you are only paying lip service. I can not judge if someones faith is true our not, I leave that to God to decide, he is the one that knows our hearts. I do know the fruits that is coming out of peoples mouth, so a Christian should be able to see if the holy Spirit is working in someone or not.
