It’s a cute little disguised plan. The real intent behind it is, “They” (The Cabal/Globalists/The Network/The Elites- call them what you will) don’t want us to have cars full stop/period.
Since they can’t outlaw them, they make them up so facto outlawed through sheer expense and hassle of owning one. Electric cars won’t be affordable, it’s designed that way.
The Cabal was us with no personal vehicles, living in tiny rented apartments, little ability to travel much beyond a town or city. Working nearby.
Rebel ex Motorweek auto journalist Eric Peters, who has appeared on Infowars, has a great site with many articles laying out how the bastards have been getting away with this. And now it’s being incrementally rolled out. Epautos. Com
Obama racheted up gov meddling in auto making in 2009- called “CAFE” Rules. Corp average fuel economy. This explains why GM peaked around then. That was the year they killed off the very reliable old design fireball 3.6 litre V6. Ever since then, auto makers have been forced to get around the Sq ft area MPG rules by just making bigger vehicles and SUVs, mainly trucks.
It’s the main reason why F150s are so huge now. If they covered less sq ft, EPA would demand they get the same mileage as a small sedan. Make it juuuuust over the limit in area, well now you’re in light truck category, which is (IIRC) exempt from MPG standards.
President Trump rolled back 0Bama CAFE standards to the more reasonable 2009 levels, and was planning to roll them back again to 80s levels. Biden has since re applied them.
It gets worse. The 0Bama CAFE regs mean that light trucks will soon be engulfed in the standards, meaning that they will be expected to get around 35MPG urban.
The fallback position will be medium truck class. I predict sales of F250 class will eclipse other vehicles in a few years as buyers flee from cars with shitty tiny engines with no power.
Very interesting, it's impossible not to notice that influx of F150s all over the roads. Kinda like 20 years ago when suddenly everyone was driving Hummers.
Always I like hearing Eric Peters on The David Knight Show
Yeah basically the top trim level of 150 class of truck is the new 1973 Cadillac or town car sedan. Good room, good “trunk” pleasant, unfussy torque and “glide” gets you there power, and good ride. Like how cars should be.
Anyone who has been in a big torquey low RPM v8 old sedan vehicle, they just glide almost by themselves once they get going. Now we have to put up with shit boxes like a Malibu with a wheezy 1.5 engine you have to constantly be on the power to keep it moving.
The powers that be want personal transportation to be as unpleasant as possible.
