I can smell reddit's dumpster (((juice))) fumes from here, has a similar stench to twitter. Atleast reddit was once decent, can the same be said of twitter?

Twitter seemed suspicious from the start as from what I remember many national networks made sure to advertise it as an official forum of information in what felt like a forced fashion. Convenient way for all the "heroes" of the entertainment industry to keep the zogboat afloat with short and simple messages generally lacking any substance.

Does twitter have similar roots to facebook?
