same, i have no idea how these sequencing machines work. but i know that most of that stuff has to be operated in a strictly sterile environment and that there are a lot of sources for failure.
this is also why i reposted this: IF there has been a mistake or technical failure, it would be easy for them to cover it up because of their interconnections and sidebusinesses

I don’t think many people get how big this is. One corporation, one machine. Had one job. To sequence the virus for billions of vaccine doses. One machine. One error. A billion lives infected.
Who does Illumina report to? The FDA.
Who is on the board of the FDA? Illumina.
Who fact-checks both? The AP.
Who was on the board of the AP? Illumina.
Who was on the board of Pfizer? Illumina and former AP.
Even IF their machine didn’t mess up the sequence, having monopoly on such a god-technology with zero oversight gives this a terrifying potential for evil.
