I think it would be very bad for the UN to even think of attempting this on US soil.

If they were invited in and alongside US troops, would US citizens be shooting at them?
You've seen the woke agenda in the US services with recruitment drives and whathaveyou.
Remember in PolSci "Crisis" is a word used when the govt. cannot cope and extra-government agencies are needed to help.
You've got Covid-Crisis, Climate-Crisis and what will be termed the White-Supremacy-Crisis. Throw in an overseas war and suggest the US needs help because it is overstretched and along come the Blue Hats "temporarily".
I can easily imagine it, should someone think it was going to achieve their aims.
If they are on us soil, even invited, it's an illegal occupation. If US troops choose to join them that is their fate.
If they were from NATO countries, then they would be official allies?
Though I guess not under the UN banner
