Life insurance doesn't pay out on deaths by natural causes.

In most cases life insurance companies consider COVID deaths as natural causes.

Hmmm... I don't think that's accurate. Most life insurance policies DO pay out for natural causes... At least in the u.s.

To the point of the OP... My life insurance company dropped the premium requirement from around May 2020 to the end of the year.... i.e. I had free life insurance for half the year.
