Could "Acts 7:43" describe the apparent split between atheist jews and orthodox jews that we see today? One which worships "moloch" and another "remphan" (along with the six-pointed star associated with it)?
Acts 7:43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
Though they may (seemingly?) argue, it's as if one is the left hand, to the other's right hand.
Deuteronomy 14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
Which as the next verses describe isn't a good position to be in.
Deuteronomy 15-20 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store. Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
Even so, all actual truth seekers eventually realize the sham that both are, that Jesus Christ still reigns as the son of God up in his throne, and we're to follow straight after him.
