Mass roll out of leaky vaccine
Consciousness of new variants and strains raised through media
Leaky selection pressures create much more virulent and deadly strain
Vaccinated population becomes decentralized bioweapons facility
Having primed the pump and created a scapegoat class of unvaccinated Karens; the media will collaborate to tell the opposite of the truth extremely effectively by blaming this new deadly strain on the uncompliant unvaccinated population
Scared rush of vaccinations in residual hesitant population
Leaky selection pressure increased
Nation state governments discredited as they struggle to cope with this situation
Spiraling dynamic until the only survivors are compliants
Benevolent one world government steps in
Artificial selection for compliance through induced increased virulence, occurring in parallel to massive economic globalized consolidation of power.
A myxoma virus was released in Australia in 1950s to cull invasive European rabbit species, the first year after release after the virus had a 99.8% mortality rate, second year it fell to 30%, after that it dropped to lower than the birth rate so eradication was no longer possible. The virus and host evolved toward an equilibrium. Viruses that killed the host did not transmit as far as weaker strains, and the bottleneck events in the rabbit population meant only those more resilient to the virus lived to breed.
The mortality rate of the virus and generation length in the human hosts are different, but the forces at play are the same. The only threat to this occurring in our population with the current virus is mass vaccination changing the selection pressure on the virus to make it more virulent in order to survive and propagate in a host population with modified symptoms.
This occurred with Marek's disease in chickens when vaccination began in 1970. Mortality of chickens infected with Marek's disease was quite low. Decades after the first vaccine was introduced, current strains of Marek Virus cause lymphoma formation on throughout the chicken's body and mortality rates have reached 100% in unvaccinated chickens.
The Marek's disease vaccine is a leaky vaccine, which means that only the symptoms of the disease are prevented. Infection of the host and the transmission of the virus are not inhibited by the vaccine. This contrasts with most other vaccines, where infection of the host is prevented. Usually a highly virulent strain would kill the host before the virus would have an opportunity to transmit to other potential hosts and replicate, but the vaccine's inability to prevent infection and transmission allows the spread of highly virulent strains among vaccinated chickens. The fitness of the more virulent strains are increased by leaky vaccines.
