So Germany currently has 709 members of parliament and all the heads of the states in the bundesrat ( kinda equal to the senate in the US)... and due to legislation the members of Parliament will increase to about 1000 members in the next election..

So pls tell me how can a country with 83 Mio people have more government officials than the US which only has like 535 in congress and senate combined o.Ô
