Jesus christ, these artifacts have nothing to do with the moon or NASA.
Go take a picture in a pitch black room, and then crank up the brightness in photoshop. You'll see the same things in your image. There is no data in the pure black areas, so compression. Makes those areas just blocks of black.
This video is retarded, and makes us look stupid.
That's far away from the truth as it can... In case of compression, the image will slightly keep the form of the original object - in this case, a globe. Therefore, there should be circular lines as in an actual jpeg compression. However, we see squares which shows that it is NOT compression.
If you are not educated enough - I am fine with that, but don't mislead the rest.
I've never seen circular jpg artifacts, ever. Always square regions. Always.
This video is proof of nothing but the creator's lack of understanding of basic electronics and image compression.
So, commenting on what you don't understand with an incorrect opinion makes you a dumbass, right? Sorry, a retard. Or is it a shill? I never get the difference...
Regarding the crap at about a minute in: Do you know where else you see "square boxes"? Lossy jpegs.
They're called "compression artifacts".
So I should be able to take a picture of the moon and get similar artifacts?
