Yeah, I didn't even know that that was what "libertine" meant for a while, and then it made much more sense that Amy Winehouse was dragged down by a singer from a band of that name. And I find it REALLY crazy that Brandeis' parents were Sabbateans...Supreme Court Justice...unreal.
Get this...my brother had two Jewish roommates in college. Not bad or anything. One was a musician, like a tinier version of Paul Simon.
And even HE changed his last name to a stage name. I mean, his last name didn't even sound Jewish! I would wager his parents forced him to do it, but who knows. And this is a "good" one...but he could not (or would not) tell me why he did it.
That's a pretty modest deception, but deception all the same.
I'm not doubting it. The other roommate had real drug issues, so bad that his whole head looked swollen sometimes, like he was retaining water or something. He was a nice enough guy too, but I think he was certainly paranoid. You smoke as much as he did, you'd be paranoid too...but I think smoking, like the Oxy, was a coping mechanism.
Hey, after my brother graduated, we ended up running into him over a year later, and he was looking great. Really stopped everything but weed, and almost looked like a different guy.
Still, both guys were as decent as most people I've known, so there's that.

The truth is theyre used to everyone distrusting them, so theyre naturally paranoid and introverted, which further increases the distrust.
