Or it’s a flu since it’s easier to create the same effect by lying, and it’s much cheaper. Communist governments are huge bureaucracies. They’re better at propaganda than production of real results. Remember the videos of people having seizures that came out of China right as the panic was setting in globally? Why bother creating a seizure cashing pathogen when you can lie and still grab the same scale of power.
There’s a lot to unpack here, but to be concise, you really only rebutted one of my points in regards to the path of least resistance: creating a lie vs. creating a virus. You say weaponized virology is easier than bomb making which, you know, is completely false as evident in both the prevalence of IEDs and the availability of instructions+materials for bomb making. Back to my point, not your non sequitur bomb tac, a lie is easier to manufacture than a virus when the internet has been (near) fully weaponized for information war.
I think you’re starting to catch my point, it’s very easy to lie and spread lies. I’m not saying a weaponized virus leak isn’t possible, I’m saying that it’s less probable considering both the motivations of the parties (CCP, global media, global intelligence agencies) and the ease at which they have historically created + spread lies. The same medium that showed you wuhan maps also showed you people seizing uncontrollably, wet market stories, WMDs in the Middle East, the George Floyd story, the fine people hoax, no 2020 election malarkey, no 2016 Dem primary malarkey, and the list goes on and on. Never underestimate the potential evil of faceless power hungry institutions.
